The Youth Development Football League has completed a very successful 2008 season. We are grateful to the many supporters throughout the community. With your help and continued support we will have the opportunity to reach and influence the lives of many young boys and girls in the Charlotte and surrounding areas.

Virginia Tech Coaching Changes
Eric Gallman, head coach of the 2007 NFL Flag Champion Atlanta Falcons, has been named Head Coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies. Charles Lewis is the Assistant Coach and Greg Talley is the Defensive Coordinator.

NFL Junior Player Development Camp

The YDFL invited a number of 12 to 13 year old kids to the JPD Camp held on June 13th - 16th at West Mecklenburg High School. The NFL provided all equipment needed with the exception of cleats. This was an educational and fun event. YDFL's own Ethan Horton was the featured speaker on Monday, June 13th.

Football and Cheerleader Coaches Needed

Would you like to be a positive role model in a child’s life?
This is your chance. The YDFL is looking for positive, energetic adults who Want to make a positive difference in their community by teaching children The fundamental skills of football, team unity, and sportsmanship. Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Parents are needed.

Since we operate solely on a volunteer basis, Parents are encouraged to become Coaches, Team Parents, Timekeepers, Sportswriters etc….

*Flag football players and cheerleaders are not required to get certified*
